Windows also has a built in Prefetch in FF Open Properties add { /Prefetch:1 } = /Prefetch:1 to the End of exe" press Apply / ok ! Adding the /prefetch:1 switch to the executable startup path of a frequently used program will decrease the applications start up time. Example: I use Windows Messenger quite alot. In the Target: field of the Messenger properties add /prefetch:1 to the end of the path as shown below. "I:\Program Files\Messenger\msmsgs.exe" /prefetch:1 The result is a faster loading program as the switch automatically tells Windows to look to the Prefetch directory. You can also speed up explorer by opening the registry and drilling down to: [HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Folder\shell\explore\command] and adding the /prefetch:1 switch to the end of the Default value path %SystemRoot%\Explorer.exe /e,/idlist,%I,%L /prefetch:1 The same can be done for [HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Folder\shell\open\command] %SystemRoot%\Explorer.exe /idlist,%I,%L /prefetch:1 Regards QC www.pctools.com/forum/archive/index.php/t-25562.html

PAUL McCARTNEY SAYS BEATLES REMASTERS BRING HIM CLOSER TO JOHN LENNON Paul McCartney says that the new Beatles remasters make him feel reunited with John Lennon. McCartney spoke to Billboard and was asked how much work he and Ringo Starr put into reworking the group's master tapes. McCartney explained, "We do the approving and the other guys do the real hard work. We needed a very good team to help with the Anthology and (the) Cirque du Soleil (show LOVE) and now for Rock Band. So they do the work and then Ringo and I go in and listen to the demos and we usually go to www.kshe95.com/musicnews/home.aspx QC

Just one week on tour and KSHE was there to help. KSHE became one of the first radio stations in the U.S. to play a Kiss single. After 9 years, 95 interviews, hunting down 100 hours of vintage KSHE broadcasts www.stlbook.com, and reviewing thousands of artifacts and photos (900 images made the cut), the book is finished. This is likely the most complete book ever put together about KSHE, or any radio station for that matter. An odyssey that began in 2000, this book has given me access to things I could never imagine — photos that hadn’t been seen by anyone but the photographers and countless recordings unheard since they were broadcast decades ago. IE 6 sp 1 seems to do the Job When/If you need to use IE - Personally i Dislike IE in General only because it is the most Attacked Browser , IE 7 & 8 Bite , on my Test of 10 web pages - in Firefox i had one Tracking Cookie and in IE i had 14 Tracking Cookies - I also am Upset with Microsoft Forcing this Browser on the World as the Default Browser & an integrated Part of the OS in MS Products - in Win 95 & 98 FE i Was Able to Remove IE From the OS and had Firefox 1.5.7 as the Default Browser - on a 56kbps Modem i Could Watch Flash Movies on my PC and i was Very Happy - now Because of the Fact that Vista & Win 7 are among us - IE will Forever be a embedded Browser in MS Products - This Does Not Mean you are Forced to use it browsers.evolt.orgI,m a Geek QC
