Is It’s Worse Than You Think ? QC America is still the greatest country in the world when it comes to availability of products etc. Just visit any supermarket or sporting good store there. All benefits of capitalism. This is just a bump in the economy road. America will pick up speed again, and will continue to have the spending power, and the world will benefit. Just give it a couple years. A record 651,000 jobs were cut from the US workforce in February, the highest figure since December 1983. How is the US downturn affecting you? The figures are up from 598,000 in January. It is the biggest monthly rise in unemployment since October 1949, although the workforce has grown significantly since then. Meanwhile, the economic crisis could increase the number of unemployed women by up to 22 million this year, the International Labour Organisation (ILO) says. #1. Have you lost your job in the last month? #2 Do you work in one of the affected sectors? #3. What can be done to re-start the US economy? #4. Is state spending the answer or should there be more tax cuts? Talk About The Economy

OK I will Start this Off - I Have Collected Computers and Parts for Years - I am Concerned about the Value of my collection - They Say Computers Become Out of Date Every 18 Months - Thats just not True it's more like every 8 years - They Had Computers * Years ago - i can Run All my Computing Software i Use on - now they are not All gaming Computers but what is the Value ? I Would Hope that if you spent 15 hours installing everything you need to be safe , Browse Safe , And updates & protection you can Resell it for at Least $125.00 a Tower or More . How Much is Your Rig Worth ? Well Try Getting That for it on Craigslist ! One of the Reasons i collect Computers is not only are they smart enough to get me here typing this but they have Gold inside of them and other metals with Grip - Computers Hold there Value Long After 8 Years , & The Very old ones become Even More Valued , How much are you willing to pay for a High End Pll or lll intel /celeron/ that is over 800 mh'z - you can run Windows 7 on a chip like that ........ ? I started a thread on my board and this is what I wrote:
What makes the economy stay on track?
Does laying people off cause the company is scared help?
Does pumping play money into the banks help?
Or is it, the more people working, the more money is in the peoples pocket to spend the money? The less people working in a location that relies on business from working people the more likely that business is going to have to lay off their people making even less money flow into the economy. Eventually this will even bring the big guys to their knees. If I took my family out to each one day a week and spend 40 dollars and tips money that business can stay in business as long as others are doing the same. If I got laid off, I stop taking the family to that restaurant. Lets say I was part of a mass layoff and a percentage of those people used to go to that restaurant, then they stop going too. What do you think is eventually going to happen to that restaurant,
Lets say that restaurant purchased thousands of dollars from that company that laid off to save on cost. Now that company that laid off all those people is going to generate less income.
Lets say all the laid off people had to stop doing a lot of things and 30 restaurants had to cut back because of the action of that company that laid off. not only will the 30 restaurants have to lay off, the company that started it all will have to lay off more because of the decrease in income from thise 30 restaurants. And on it goes...

How come the higher up people can't see this! Like they are blind because they have money. Well as long as the bottom feeders keep losing their jobs they too will start seeing less money coming to them. You know, the poorest of the people, middle class and down, are the biggest spenders. When you get rid of the thousands of lower income people from the work place then the trickle up syndrome will continue...

But the money that results from you creativity is only come by those that work and buy the creative item or services. Without the workers there would be no money to be made by anyone

We are turning into a service only country. Our goods jobs keep packing up and moving to other countries. Then they ship those goods back to the U.S. Keep the jobs here! GM is going to shut down production for 9 weeks, only in our country... big business could care less if anyone has any money to buy their product, then they wonder why they are doing so poorly
