A Russian man was stunned when he returned from his holiday to find his house had been had stolen.
Yuri Konstantinov, 50, came back to discover find an empty space where his two storey house had once been.
In his absence, Yuri's neighbour had dismantled the house brick by brick and sold it, including all the bricks, window frames, and the kitchen sink.
A police spokesman said: "A local resident decided to take it away piece by piece, and he dismantled it for construction materials. This is not though the first such case we have come across, in remote areas it is considered normal by some people."

Actually , you might be amazed to know it happens to houses in North St Louis several times a year. I've heard it returned on the radio many times when an inspector goes to a "running water" call. His response to dispatch is often that "the house has been stolen". Once the copper has been ripped out with no response from law or owner , it becomes free game apparently.
