FIRST LET ME SAY SORRY TO ALL. I OWN A SUSHI BAR AND MY MOM IS IN KOREA SO I'M STUCK DOING WHAT I CALL CHILD LABOR. SHE IS ONE OF THE PARTNERS AT MY PLACE. OK NOW ON WITH THE NEWS. I MAY HAVE TO DO THESE IN A FEW DIFF POSTS.
Celebrity gossip website TMZ.com is reporting that rumors regarding WWE Diva Ashley Massaro taking time off from WWE to join the cast of next season’s Survivor on CBS are indeed true. The season will begin taping next month in China and is scheduled to start airing this September.
As we’ve been reporting, this is the reason that Ashley was “suspended” on last week’s edition of SmackDown.
THIS IS NOT A RUMMOR ITS TRUE. WHEN I HAVE THE DETAILS SO WILL YOU.
Stephanie McMahon was backstage at RAW this past Monday for the WWE Draft Lottery. Her brother Shane was not spotted and apparently was not there.
According to at least one backstage source Randy Orton has been on his best behavior since the incident that occurred during WWE’s European tour. We’re unable to confirm whether Orton was issued his last warning after the European tour incident or given counseling, but whatever it was has worked, at least for now.
NOW AS FOR RANDY I LOVE RANDY. HE'S A REAL GOOD FRIEND OF MINE. I HAD A TALK WITH HIM ABOUT THIS AND HE NEEDS TO GROW UP. SO LETS HOPE THIS WAS HIS WAKE UP CALL.
Over at the WWE.com superstars pages, they have all the newly drafted wrestlers on their new brands. It took them a few hours after RAW was over to get this done, usually they do roster changes pretty quick. They were probably more concerned with promoting Mr. McMahon's death, and it also looks like they spent some time upgrading the pages. Now on the bio pages, they have a larger picture with a button on the bottom to show the wrestlers stats. This is different from the previous pages as the stats were on the side and always visable. Also, Mr. McMahon's profile was removed from the ECW Superstars page, and after Torrie moved to Smackdown!, Chole's (Torrie's dog) profile has finally been deleted from the site.
On the Alumni section of WWE.com, Doink The Clown has been added. This was done around the time of Saturday Night's Main Event, i believe, so that was probably added to promote that show.
At the moment, the current plan for June 24th’s WWE Vengeance PPV is to have all nine WWE Championships defended.
Management within World Wrestling Entertainment have been talking about cutting WWE’s pay-per-views to 14 next year. Vince McMahon has admitted privately that the company is running too many shows.
Once again, WWE WrestleMania 23 has top the charts in selling Recreational Sports DVD on Billboard's June 23rd chart. UFC/Pride has had more titles on the list.
During the last few days while Brandon Inge, who is the 3rd baseman for the Detroit Tigers, came up to the plate to WWE Superstar’s Edge’s theme music.
Chris “Y2J” Jericho’s autobiography "A Lion's Tale: Around the World in Spandex" is now available on Amazon for pre-order.
The Wilkes-Barre, PA police department’s website have issued the following statement regarding Mr. McMahon’s limo explosion this past Monday on RAW:
Information regarding WWE Event at Wachovia Arena
For verification purposes regarding those inquiring as to the alleged car bombing of WWE Chairman Vince McMahon, at the Wachovia Arena in Wilkes-Barre Township on Monday, June 11, 2007, the incident was a staged event, prearranged with Fire Department personnel and authorized by Township Code Enforcement officials. All necessary precautions were taken during the filming of the event so as to ensure the safety and security of all persons involved in the event. Mr. McMahon was not injured during the event contrary to what is being reported on internet web sites and other media sources.
Although he still is in the WWE SmackDown roster and wasn’t drafted to WWE RAW, Matt Hardy is stilled booked for this weekend’s WWE RAW house show tour.
Jesse Ventura is in Stamford, CT today for a meeting with the chairman, Vince McMahon.
Former WWE Diva, Amy "Lita" Dumas is hosting an hour-long punk radio show on 96.1 FM in Atlanta every Sunday night at 9pm.
Yokozna's profile has been added to the WWE Alumni page at WWE.com.
- Speaking of WWE's web site, Mick Foley's profile has yet to be appear on RAW's Bio Page, yet he claims to be apart of RAW.
- Due to Vince McMahon’s on air “death” WWE is planning on having Stephanie and Linda McMahon return to WWE programming.
- Apparently Triple H feels that there is not enough heels on the RAW brand, which is the reason Mr. Kennedy was drafted to RAW. This move indicates that Kennedy will not be returning to chase Edge for the World Title like he was originally supposed to, but confirms that he will be returning to RAW as a heel and eventually be feuding with Triple H in the future.
Ric Flair was drafted over to SmackDown just in time to return to his hometown of Charlotte for next week’s taping. Flair will take on Edge in his first SmackDown appearance.
WWE’s supplemental draft was moved to this Sunday because it wouldn’t have made sense if SmackDown wrestlers would have switched brands on Wednesday and then aired on the show on Friday.
WWE has release a signed WrestleMania 23 “winners” plaque. It includes signatures of John Cena, Ken Kennedy, Great Khali, Tommy Dreamer, Rob Van Dam, Melina, and the Sandman. Oddly enough The Undertaker’s (who won the World Championship) signature is not on it. The plaque retails for $149.99.
Towards the end of KTTV FOX 11's morning show Good Day L.A, the Mr.Mcmahon "Death" angle was brought up and one of the host’s Jillian Reynolds shrugged it off and called it silly and went to something else. The story really didn't get any publicity on this show.
On Attack of the Show on G4TV, someone asked if they thought the WWE would survive now that Mr. McMahon is dead. Someone fun and said that Vince could survive anything and that he was alive. Ashley’s suspension was also mentioned and they said that it was so she could star in the CBS TV show Survivor after Paul London said that the whole suspension is a storyline and she won’t be written into any wrestling storylines until she is done with CBS.
The June 24th WWE Vengeance PPV in Houston, TX, is officially sold out. The event sold out a month ago, with no matches being announced. WWE Vengeance will be held in the Toyota Center.
Jackass star Steve-O recently wrote the following on his MySpace blog, "As for upsetting the WWE, too bad for them-- they're stuck plastering the television screen with commercial, starring only me (representing the entire cast of Jackass by myself ) and Umaga, promoting the Pay Per View event. As for "almost shutting down the Jackass match", that's just hype to let everyone know we're comng (sic). As for the choke-outs, Ryan Dunn choked me out six times in one day. Umaga actually knows what he's doing, he's very capable of safely choking me out, and he's the current champion of the WWE, of course I was a complete nightmare for those people doing everything in and out of my power to get footage of Umaga choking me out, and then have him sign a release form, which I was packing on the bod."
WWE did come close to pulling the plug on the whole “Jackass” storyline as they felt Steve-O was acting very disrespectful backstage, filming things for his own personal use.
It was reported previously that Paul “The Big Show” was asked by WWE to make a return and he turned them down. I guess he is also telling independent promotions not to contact him at all because he has no interest in wrestling at all anymore.
An exclusive Rob Van Dam action figure will be released by ToysRUs.com. The action figure will feature RVD wearing an ECW T-shirt and brandishing the ECW and WWE championship belts.
Chris “Y2J” Jericho is scheduled to be appearing at the Monster Mania convention on August 24 in Cherry Hill, NJ.
Australian director Russell Mulchay has recently signed a deal to helm a sequel to The Scorpion King. No word as to ether The Rock will be featured in the movie. The Rock played the character in the original film and The Mummy 2.
Former WWE Women’s Champion Trish Stratus appeared as a presenter on the NHL Awards last night.
is using their name in the McMahon "death" storyline. The difference between WWE using them and a TV show using them is that WWE doesn't run writer credits at the end of their shows. WWE is perpetrating the FBI's involvement in the case of McMahon's "death" as real and that's why they're upset.
- Regarding Ashley and her suspension, the phrase being used for her temporary departure is "she's going away for a while." Also, Ashley posted a new blog on her MySpace page on Wednesday. No mention of the Survivor rumors. She said that she moved from New York to North Carolina last week to be with her family. She also mentions her storyline suspension, but she's "in character" when talking about it.
Due to Torrie Wilson's move to SmackDown, WWE.com has removed the profile of her dog Chloe from the Raw section. She'll probably still appear on camera whenever Torrie has a match though.
The hallway scene on Raw of Vince McMahon walking through the back of the arena toward the exit was not live. The scene was filmed Monday afternoon before the live event began.
