HELLO WWE FANS. THE FOUR HORSEMEN CONTEST QUESTIONS ARE UP. ITS NOT HARD FOLK HELLO ITS FREE. NOW ON WITH THE NEWS
The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce Walk of Fame Committee announced today that, WWE Chairman Vince McMahon is among several names to be honoured with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2008.
Vince McMahon will be receiving a special ceremony and a permanent star on the Walk of Fame, which runs three and a half miles down the sidewalk of Hollywood Boulevard. There is still no date announced of when the ceremony will be held.
The WWE Chairman will be honoured under the Television category for his contributions to the broadcast television industry.
In order to be honoured into the Walk of Fame the honoree has to agree to attend a presentation ceremony within five years of their selection and also pay a fee of $25,000 to the Hollywood Historic Trust which oversees the Walk of Fame.
Expect World Wrestling Entertainment to make a huge deal out of the Walk of Fame.
This Sunday, June 24th at the Galaxy Skateland in Martinsburg, WV former WWE Champion Chris Jericho will be signing autographs and doing a meet and greet from 4.30 to 6.30pm.
This Saturday, WWE RAW Superstar King Booker is scheduled to be on “Tea Time” on 790AM in Houston and online at www.790thesportsanimal.com at Noon Central time.
The plan as of this past week, and keep in mind how quickly things change, was that Vince McMahon would be "presumed dead" for about a month or so. When the angle was first conceived, he was going to be gone for a long, long time. Indefinitely, in fact. But then when the angle went down, everyone said now he had to come back, and it figured that there was no way Vince McMahon would be able to stay out of the spotlight for more than a few weeks or so.
The idea was to go heavy with it, meaning Linda would make all of his corporate appearances, he would never be seen, etc.
Yesterday, WWE Superstar Kane appeared for a private signing at the Licensing convention in New York City. TNA, The International Fight League, and AAA were also represented at the convention.
Former WWE Diva Amy "Lita" Dumas Punk band The Luchagors has posted a preview of the first song from their upcoming album, "White Boy" at www.myspace.com/theluchagors13.
Today, the USA Network announced that they have ordered seven episodes of Jackass’ star Steve-O’s “Dr. Steve-O”, which is a reality series taking regular guys and getting them to do his trademark stunts. The show is scheduled to air straight after WWE Monday Night RAW. According to reports, the USA Network have been looking for show’s to compliment WWE RAW since RAW has been brought back to the network from SpikeTV. It look’s like that Steve-O’s appearance at this year’s WWE SummerSlam is looking very likely with this deal just signed.
In Japan, ZERO-ONE Max recently featured a match titled “Tribute to the E” signifying the original ECW. The match featured Masato Tanaka & Yoshihiro Tajiri vs. Steve Corino & CW Anderson.
- Most of the wrestlers from all three brands, all of whom have to be there, had no idea this coming week's Raw was going to be a three-hour funeral show for Vince McMahon until they saw the graphics on TV.
- In a move that will likely add more fuel to the speculation of a possible Sid WWE comeback, WWE.com has added a profile on him in the WWE Alumni section.
It was recently reported that Sid was keeping himself in shape and interested in making a comeback to WWE. Also, WWE added the following text at the end of his bio: "It is uncertain whether or not the self proclaimed "master and ruler of the world" will ever be able to return to action full-time or inside a WWE ring. However, if he ever steps back inside the squared circle, WWE Superstars watch out! For Sid could be master and ruler of the world once again."
It was posted yesterday that there were some rumblings of a possible appearance in Playboy by SmackDown Diva Kristal Marshall.
Marshall was made aware of the rumor and quickly dispelled it on her MySpace page. Here is the message she left regarding the Playboy rumor:
NOT TRUE
HEY GUYS!
IT HAS BEEN BROUGHT TO MY ATTENTION THAT THERE ARE RUMORS OF ME SHOOTING THE COVER OF PLAYBOY. I WOULD BE SO HONORED HOWEVER THE RUMORS, LIKE MOST ON THE INTERNET LIKE THE ONE THAT SAYS I AM FROM ALABAMA (WHEN I WAS BORN IN BROOKLYN AND RAISED IN CALIFORNIA) ARE JUST NOT TRUE. I AM NOT GOING TO JOIN THE BEAUTIFUL DIVAS OF THE PAST TO GRACE TO COVER OF PLAYBOY.
