IN OTHER WWE NEWS:
- Recently it was in question if Johnny Knoxville will participate in this year’s SummerSlam event in the Jackass angle until now.
Johnny Knoxville has in fact agreed to appear at the Summerslam event this year as a wrestler. Only one match will take place at the event with the “Jackass” crew; not three, as previously reported. The match is looking to be a hardcore style match between the “Jackass” crew and an assortment of WWE wrestlers who aren’t doing anything.
- Daivari's move to RAW was a move made with no real consequence. There were no plans to give him a cruiserweight title push on SmackDown, so they just decided to move him to RAW.
- In an attempt to freshen up the women’s division on each brand, WWE decided to switch Jillian Hall and Victoria. While doing so, Jillian got her last name back as she is now being referred to as Jillian Hall again. The graphic on RAW referred to her as Jillian Hall recently.
With the recent draft of Viscera to the ECW brand, don’t be surprised if you see him on television more now, as WWE has some big plans for this massively large wrestler.
WWE is going to drop his current gimmick of being “The World’s Largest Love Machine” and make him more of a One Man Gang character, which means he will be basically be a mean, bad, wrecking machine. The idea for this is to get him over as big and unstoppable in ECW, and then bring him back to RAW or SmackDown! as a monster heel that can headline main events. They recently did this with Snitsky who is scheduled to mow down undercarders for the rest of the year and feud with Cena in 2008.
Reason behind Viscera’s push is because of his massive size and unlike some of the wrestlers backstage, he doesn’t have many problems. Dave Lagana didn’t want him on the brand if he wasn’t revamped with new image because he felt the “Love Machine’ gimmick would never get over as a headliner for the company. Furthermore, Vince McMahon liked the idea of Viscera being pushed like the One Man Gang in the 80's. Plus, it's easy to convince Vince to push a monster, even it's failed a few times before, as opposed to a smaller person, even if the person has a history of past success.
Jesse Ventura was at Titan Towers to meet with Vince McMahon on Thursday, June 14. No word yet on what the meeting was about, but he was dressed up like it was a serious business meeting. It wouldn't be surprising if there was going to be a DVD on him. There was some speculation thrown around that he could be a General Manager character, but that's probably a longshot.
- Both Stephanie and Shane McMahon are booked to be featured prominently on this week's three-hour Raw special. It was Vince's decision to bring Stephanie back as a television character, and sources say Stephanie agreed to it, but she didn't really push for it to happen. Still no word yet if this is going to be a full-time return or not.
This Tuesday Rey Mysterio will be in Mexico for a WWE press conference regarding the July RAW tour of Mexico. This will be Rey Mysterio’s first match back. Rey Mysterio also appears live on Tuesday on “La Papaya” which is a Mexican talk show.
Former RAW General Manager Eric Bischoff will be one of many people scheduled to appear on this week’s WWE Monday Night RAW.
Due to the recent draft moves, several of WWE’s real-life unmarried couples have been broken up.
Kenny Dyskstra & Mickie James are just one of the pairs that has been separated, followed by Johnny Nitro & Melina. Also note, Dykstra & James are currently engaged.
There's also another WWE couple in CM Punk and Maria. Although, they were broken up the minute Punk was brought up to the main roster last June.
OH CRY ME A RIVER WOULD YOU LOL.
MORE LIVE UPDATES TO COME.
